Mr. Kumar S. Taurani
Mr. Kumar S. Taurani is the Chairman & Managing Director of the Company having guided the Companysince inception to its current leadership position. Mr. Kumar Taurani is currently the Chairman of the Indian Music Industry as well under which two royalty bodies PPL and IPRS operate.Through his vision, courage and determination, Mr. Kumar Taurani along with his brother Mr. Ramesh Taurani has successfully moulded Tips into India’s leading media company and is a third largest music company in India after Saregama and Super Cassettes Industries Limited.
Mr. Ramesh S.Taurani
Mr. Ramesh Taurani, one of the leading media industry veteran is the Managing Directors of Tips Industries Limited. He alongwith his brother Kumar Taurani started their musical journey in the early 1980s with a repertoire of regional and devotional music titles, venturing into popular Hindi film music at a later stage.
Under the stewardship of Mr. Ramesh Taurani, TIPS has produced music albums of stalwarts like Lata Mangeshkar, Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udhas, Anoop Jalota and others and also introduced new artists world like Atif Aslam, JAL the Band, Sachin Gupta, Monali Thakur etc.
Mr. Girish Taurani
Mr. Girish Taurani is an Executive Director of the Company. He holds a Bachelor degree in commerce. He has rich experience in the business of Media and Entertainment Industry and has expertise in the field of Music. He is in-charge of the overall responsibilities of operating the Music and Digital Business of the Company. He has been playing a pivotal role in expansion and overall management of the business of the Company.
MRS. TARA SUBRAMANIAM
Ms. Tara Subramaniam holds a bachelor’s degree in law from University of Bombay. She has over 40 years of experience in the field of banking, real estate, project finance and business development.
She is a Maha RERA Conciliator and a member of the governing council of the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) and has also served as the Founder President of MAHI, the women’s wing of NAREDCO.
She is also on the Board as an Independent Director of Restaurant Brands Asia Limited, Deltatech Gaming Limited, Vascon Engineers Limited, Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Limited and Nisus Finance Services Co Private Limited. She is also on the Board of JM Financial Home Loans Limited as a Non-Executive Director.
She was also associated with Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited, JM Financial Group, and SGE Advisors (India) Private Limited.
Mr. Chandrashekar Ponnuswamy
Mr. Chandrashekar Ponnuswamy holds Bachelor’s degree in commerce from R. A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and MMS from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management, Mumbai. He has rich and varied experience of more than 43 years as a Business Professional with a strong grounding in Finance. He worked with Multinationals and Indian Business Houses and handled several dimensions of business i.e. Setting up new ventures; Mergers and Acquisitions; Scaling up Businesses, turning around Businesses, setting up Systems and Processes; Implementing ERPs; Mobilizing resources, both Debt and Equity and dealing with Private Equity investors.
He started his career in 1983 with Bharat Bijlee Ltd as Cost and Management Account then joined Jumbo Group, Dubai. He was involved in acquisition of Companies in India and advising on acquisition opportunities and business performance of the Group Companies. Later on, he moved to RPG Group and worked with CEAT Ltd. to set up a Consumer Electronics project in collaboration with a Korean Company and Fujitsu ICIM Ltd. as the Financial controller. He has also worked with DHL India – a Division of Airfreight Ltd, Coca Cola India and RK Foodland Ltd in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer and was a President Finance in Alliance Tire Group and Polycab Wires Pvt. Ltd.
He was also associated with Runwal Group as an Executive Director in in which he helped the Company increase sales, built a strong Management Team, saved construction cost, and was involved in getting a Private Equity player investing in the Company. He is the founder of Crescentia Strategists Inc., a Business Transformation Consulting Organisation.
Mr. Rajan Singh
Mr. Rajan Singh is an Electrical Engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur. Post-graduation, he joined the Indian Police Service and served many years as the Trivandrum Police Commissioner. He was appointed as the police chief at the age of 28, Rajan headed the 3,500 strong Capital City police force.
Later, he joined the MBA program at Wharton Business School and worked as a consultant with McKinsey in New York. He also worked as an investment professional at New Silk Route, a billion-dollar private equity fund.
Currently, he is working with habit-building startup called HabitStrong which he helps people build improve their lives by inculcating focus, self-discipline, and good habits such as meditation, journaling etc.
